Dude, where’s my bill?

It seems pertinent to point out that one of the Democrats’ most ballyhooed victories was the passage on April 2 of House File 653: the “We Heart Voter Fraud Bill” which allows for anyone - anyone - to register to vote, and then vote, on election day, pretty much without real identification, without any proof of citizenship, and without any validation of the information provided on their registration. So, with just a sworn statement from the guy standing in line behind him to vouch for the fact that he has a legitimate reason to be casting a ballot in an American election, anyone with a paystub can be assured the chance to exercise their “right” to vote.Of course, the potential for ballot stuffing is quite astounding in this new scenario. And Democrats, who have spent their lives promising all manner of government support for underdogs of every stripe are practically wetting themselves with excitement over the “mandate” they’re certain will come their way next election.

So what happened to Senate File 377? SF 377 was “An act requiring proof of citizenship or lawful presence in this country for issuance of a driver’s license or nonoperator’s identification card.” It was introduced and referred to the Transportation committee on March 6 (the same day HF 653 began its journey), but was never heard from again. We’re pretty sure the bill was killed in Committee, where its trail goes cold.

Here’s the evidence:

It’s interesting to note that, failing possession of a valid DL or NOID, the Democrats’ beloved HF 653 permits the person wishing to vote to produce any number of various other photo ID’s, including an employer identification card. (Surprisingly, Sam’s Club cards were not actually named as valid identification despite the rigorous criteria for obtaining one.) And failing the existance of any actual identification, a sworn statement from a registered voter in the person’s precinct - the guy in line behind you - will suffice as proof that the person is eligible to vote in U.S. elections.

The Democrats had the means, the motive and the opportunity to kill SF 377. I’m calling it murder in the first degree.
