Blogger News: Adam Steen, Mike Sansone

In the Trying Something New Department… Adam Steen is discovering his inner cowboy. Follow along as Adam takes up bull riding, and be sure to check out the original post on how the idea came about.

My thoughts and prayers are with blog coach extraordinaire Mike Sansone, who’s still in the hospital encouraging his docs to diagnose a painful medical issue. Knowing Mike, as commenters on his blog have already pointed out, he’ll have the medical staff blogging by the time he leaves the hospital - which hopefully will be early next week. Drew McLellan is doing a great job keeping us updated on Mike’s progress, posting updates to Mike’s Converstations blog.

For those of you who don’t know Mike, he’s one of the most sincerely open, honest and generous people I’ve ever met.  He’s built a consulting business around helping companies learn to incorporate the conversational benefits of blogging into their marketing strategy, but he gives plenty away for free in terms of advice, encouragement and expertise.  Mike’s vibe is not about business - it’s just about “others.” As proof, look no further than his instructions to those who would send him flowers in the hospital.

Take care, Mike - looking forward to seeing you real soon!

I appreciate the shout out on the bull ride! Webster City would love to have some more folks make the trip.

More importantly though, I appreciate your words about Mike Sansone. He’s been a dear friend for a few years now. Let’s keep praying for him! He’s in God’s hands and that’s the best place to be.

Thanks for posting, Adam - we’ll be following your adventures! I talked to Mike yesterday; he sounded good, although why he was making phone calls and worrying about work projects is beyond me - LOL - he said his hospital room overlooks the Des Moines Arts Festival… that means he can probably see his office, too! It must be driving him nuts.
