What’s your “perfect home”?
Posted on July 23, 2007 in Personal thoughts by DM
Leigha’s back from a challenging (but hopefully memorable?) vacation and put up a neat list of the things that would make up her “perfect home.” How about you - what elements make up the “perfect home” for you, apart from the obvious (people!)? Here are some of mine:
- A rambling one-story house with a porch that wraps all the way around.
- First-floor laundry.
- Plenty of electrical outlets and closets.
- Wireless Internet throughout.
- Outbuildings - a large shop/garage for DH and a large “shed”/cottage for me.
- NO trumpet vines, silver maple trees, or wild sumac.
- A rural location with 1or 2 acres of land - enough for horses if we want them.
- A paved driveway and a paved road.

A 180-degree view of a valley below, such as what you might find in South of Grand (in Des Moines) or the Boreas area of Breckenridge, Colorado.
1. The one I hope to move into Sep. 4…so someone, please buy the one I”m in now! =-)
Joel, South of Grand is indeed a beautiful area - I haven’t been to Breckenridge, but we’ve been to other parts of Colorado and I could probably find a view there that would suit me just fine!
Jodi - how’s the home sales process going? Any nibbles/offers? Are you going through a Realtor? Good luck - sure hope it sells soon for you!
