YEEOWW!! Injuries and news notes

I skinned my right knee! As an adult it’s easy to forget how much it hurts when you fall and rip the hide off your knee. I fell off my heeled boots onto cement while carrying a lawn chair on Sunday, sprained my left ankle and skinned my right knee. On Monday, I couldn’t even favor one leg over the other because they both hurt so damn bad. Today, my ankle is much better but the knee still hurts like a @#$. So have a little extra sympathy for your kids next time they come to you with this particular boo-boo - it hurts!! (Did I mention this was the second time this year this has happened to me?? Same knee! I’ve never been particularly graceful, but surely I must be moving into “klutz” territory by now.)

Notes from the Register today… Easter Lake is apparently a polluted, silty mess… Saylorville Lake boat ramps will be of minimal use this Labor Day Weekend… attendance and vendor sales were down at the Fair due to weather… what’s new with you? I’ve had a hard time getting back to blogging after my weekend!
