Enjoy the Pleasant Hill Labor Day Festival
Posted on August 30, 2007 in Holidays by DM
I’m sure most communities in the region are planning some sort of Labor Day activities… here’s one on which I happened to receive a lot of information:
The Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce will host the city’s fifth annual Labor Day Festival on Saturday, September 1, with most activities taking place in the parking lots of the Watersedge businesses of Copper Creek Plaza. Complete information is available at www.pleasanthilllabordayfest.com. Events begin at 7 a.m. with the Marfan Syndrome charitable walk/run around Copper Creek Lake recreation trail (requires registration fee), and a free-will-offering breakfast served by Home Lodge #370 at 5201 Maple Drive. Other Festival activities include a parade, pet show, talent show, dance studio dancers, car show, inflatable rides ($5 wristband buys unlimited rides), water ski show, bands and fireworks, kiddie tractor pull, and Bar-B-Que cook-off. Pleasant Hill Chamber member businesses will also be on site offering a variety of food and beverages for purchase. Two stages will accommodate the various activities and live bands.
What are your family’s plans for the weekend? I’m loathe to admit we have nothing firm planned, with the exception of the East Village Bike Night on Friday. That will be a blast, as always… I’m thinking much of the rest of the weekend might be spent on home and yard chores. Which… given that most of those chores have not been done for… um… weeks… that might actually be a GOOD thing!

I plan to join a group from my church to play miniature golf and to enjoy pizza tomorrow. Otherwise, nothing unusual planned.
