I missed the Toy Run this year

As a woman who rides a motorcycle, one of the events I look forward to all year is the ABATE of Iowa Toys for Tots Toy Run. This is a charity event that typically draws a couple thousand bikers. This year’s event was held Sunday October 14 - and due to a mishap with my bike on Saturday, I missed it. I’m sure the crowd was much smaller this year due to the rain - around 1:15 we could hear the constant roar of them going by up on 2nd Avenue, and it was a rather short “constant roar.” As for me, I hope to have my bike fixed before the end of the week.
