Meet the Artists of HeArt Fest: Christian Holmes

Christian Holmes is a Des Moines native now living in Creston, Iowa. He will be showing his work in pryography (woodburning) for his first exhibition at HeArt Fest and says he hopes the show will result in some good exposure for his work. He also works in digital painting and some traditional painting, including oil, acrylic gouache and watercolor. He notes that he is becoming interested in three-dimensional art and animation.
Christian is largely self-taught in his artwork, which reflects themes of light, dark and comedic fantasy. For more examples of his work, visit his studio website at www.mythwood.com.
HeArt Fest is a juried art show featuring affordable hand-crafted works of fine art. It will be held February 9-10 at Valley West Mall. Complete information here.
